Do I need to have text messaging enabled?

BHG sends your products via text messaging. You might need a subscription plan that includes text messaging if you don't have it yet. In this case you will need to call your provider. Enabling only text messaging will allow you to participate in polls and quizzes, and to have tips and hints sent to your phone. If you would like to download wallpapers, your phone also needs to be Internet enabled (see below). Text-only services are available on: Sprint, T-Mobile, Cingular/AT&T, Verizon, Nextel, and Midwest Wireless. Please note that wallpapers can only be delivered to Sprint, T-Mobile, and Cingular/AT&T customers.

 

Does my phone need to be Internet enabled?

If you want to purchase BHG color wallpapers, your mobile phone has to be Internet enabled. In order to download a wallpaper you will be sent a link to click on. For all other products you only need text messaging enabled.

 

How do I send a text message and download a wallpaper, step by step?

  1. On your cell phone, press the "Menu" button.
  2. Select the option for "Messages" or "Messaging".
  3. Select the option to "Send message" or "Create message".
  4. It may present a number of message options to choose from -- if so, then select "Text message".
  5. Your phone now may ask you to enter a number (you can tell this if it says "To:" or "Mobile #" in the field). If that is the case, enter in the "To:" number on the storefront (96636) and then hit "OK".
  6. Otherwise, it is asking you to "Compose a message" or "Enter message". If so, enter the "keyword" (for example, ME112) for the image you want to buy. Here is how to enter the keyword:
  1. Click on "Next" or "Send". The message will now be sent.
  2. You will then receive a message asking you if you accept the charges associated with the content. To accept, hit the "Reply" button, and then repeat the above process, but make sure that you have a space, followed by a "Y" after it. So, to accept the charges for content piece ME112, you will need to reply "ME112 Y" (with a space between the ME112 and the Y").
  3. Next, another message will be sent to your phone. This message has the WAP link in it, which is what will go to your phone's Internet browser and download the picture you have purchased. A WAP link looks like a URL you may see on an Internet Web page. It usually begins with "http://". To select and activate the link, either select "Go" or use your arrow keys to highlight the link and press "OK".
  4. Your phone's Web browser will now open, and the download will begin.
  5. If you are asked if you would like to save the image, select "Yes".
  6. The image will then be stored in a folder in your phone called "Downloads", "Images", or "Multimedia". You can access this folder via the main menu. Once there, you can highlight the name of the image you just downloaded, and by hitting "Options" can choose "Set as wallpaper".
  7. Your phone is now displaying a beautiful image for you to enjoy wherever you are!

Did you save the item to your phone? Some phones require this after downloading wallpapers and ringtones. Please check all media folders on your phone or contact your carrier.

Any product you download from BHG is yours to keep and will not expire.

 

Do I get charged for downloading?

In addition to BHG 's charge for your items, you may be charged by your carrier for data transfer. Many plans offer or include a monthly allowance of data transmissions or may even provide for unlimited downloads.

Currently you can't transfer your products to another phone.

 

How will I be billed? Do I need a credit card?

Your purchases will be conveniently billed directly to your phone bill. No credit card is required.
